Easy drinking and slightly malty.

As we attempt to keep the sports theme going on our beers we were stuck with naming the Double IPA. Obviously the simple things hit you (double play, double double, mixed doubles etc…). And then we thought about what is an iconic double play duo in history. Sweet Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammell came to mind. A classic duo that fits perfect with this Sweeter offering of a DIPA.

Haka is a ceremonial war dance and challenge performed by the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team before each match. This pilsner is dry hopped with New Zealand hops (Nelson Sauvin) which incorporates a white grape flavor profile. Get ready for your night because it is “Haka Time”.

As a young mets fan I never got to enjoy Kiners Korner as it was airing but at the same time heard all of the stories he had to tell and enjoyed his baseball mind. This beer has my personal touch and i wanted to name it after a mets baseball legend. Brewed with predominantly pilsner malt it has a nice pale straw color and it allows the dry hop to drive the flavor.
